  • The Alameda Country Fair. The fairgrounds are available for events all year long but the fair itself is something that residents love to participate in and truly look forward to.
  • Shadow Cliff Park. A park that used to be a quarry but was donated to the city for parks and recreation services to the residents.  There is an 80-acre lake, picnic grounds and plenty of room for large or small gatherings.  The fishing is fine here too and you can rent boats or bring your bike and ride the trails.
  • Each September is the Scottish Games Gathering at the Alameda fairgrounds and it’s a popular event for visitors and residents alike.
  • Downtown Pleasanton has plenty of shopping, sights to see and fine dining. The historic area if nice to visit and there are always happening activities run by the Downtown Association in order to help preserve the history and keep the place vibrant enough to attract visitors.
