Attractive California

Steeped in a rich history is Sacramento.

California’s capital city of Sacramento has a rich history. The eldest Californian incorporated city was a big player in the state’s gold rush era. The city has about 400,000 residents but the greater Sacramento metro area houses closer to two million people.

This is a city steeped in fascinating history and has a big part in the history of the Pony Express, the First Transcontinental Railroad, the Gold Rush and was a point of import and export due to being the city of two major rivers. The waterfront is beautiful here and water sports are abundant!

Things to do in Sacramento are many, including:

Check out the many attractions here that are geared to the history buff, the artisan and the food connoisseur. There’s something for everyone.  The city has many arts and culture exhibits for visitors and residents, fine dining and great shopping and is an accessible place that is ideal for conventions. There are many parks and green spaces for rest and relaxation. Take a day trip to Lake Tahoe, Napa Valley or Nevada Gold Country.

Take the kids to Fairytale town for fun and make-believe.  Go to Old Sacramento for it’s history and culture. A twenty-eight acre park is there to behold, steam train excursions are available, there’s a Waterfront Festival in July that’s a must-do two day event put on by the Coast Guard and Labor Day weekend each year means time for Gold Rush Days where the city is transformed to the way it was a hundred and fifty years ago. You have to experience gold rush days to believe how awesome they are!

This city is an exciting and enticing place to live or visit as it’s filled with rich history and culture. Our residents love where they live and the events keep this a bustling city all year long.
